enemies that look kinda neat


Just thought I'd jump in to share a little screenshot of the battle screen now that I'm figuring out the artstyle for it more. I've spent the past week mainly working on an intro sequence to the game. It might've been the wrong thing to work on first, but it's something I had a clear idea for, and I can always re-do it later. Matter of fact, I'm gonna have to at least re-write some of it, though I'll leave it up to you, my hypothetical reader, to figure out why. As of yesterday, I'm finally getting to work on making the first real area of the game, which takes place on the outskirts of the city. It's gonna need a good amount of new graphics, but that shouldn't be a huge issue, as much of a pain as it can be to draw the art with only pencils and image editing software. 

Also, while I won't share it here, I'm loving how my music is turning out for the project. It's all so disturbing and organic and- well, when the time comes to release it I'll let it speak for itself. I'll be putting it out regardless of whether or not I complete the game. Speaking of completion, hopefully writing these devlogs will keep me at least a little honest with my work. Anyway, thanks for reading.
